All backpacks have good waist strap. Some have straps for sleeping bag. All zippers are working. Sizes are available for new Scout to adult Scouter. I have listed the torso length, from top of shoulders to top of the hips, so you can match the person to the pack. Where there are two numbers means that it is adjustable between these measurements. Very reasonably priced. At these prices, you can outfit your whole troop.

Kelty Large Backpack

Excellent condition backpack. 36" tall frame with top loading main pouch measuring 15"W x 9"D x 14"H; lower pouch 15"W x 8"D x 7"H. There are four equal sized side pockets, plus one front pouch under flap. The top bar can telescope up for additional load. It has a good padded waist belt and shoulder straps with sternum strap. An excellent backpack, great for summer camp, too.

Jansport Medium/Large Backpack

Excellent condition backpack. 38" tall frame with front loading main pouch measuring 14"W x 8"D x 20"H. There are two long side pockets. Room to load equipment on top and bottom of the pack frame. It has a good padded waist belt and shoulder straps. An excellent backpack, great for summer camp, too.

Internal Frame Medium Backpack

Excellent condition backpack. 27" tall frame with top loading single main pouch measuring 12"W x 8"D x 27"H with an 8" extension. The top hood adjusts as needed to cover the load. The hood has a small front pocket and a larger pocket with a rear zipper There are two equal sized side pockets, with tube pocket behind for long items like tent poles, etc. There are two synch straps across the front of the pack. It has an excellent padded waist belt and shoulder straps with sternum strap. An excellent backpack, great for summer camp, too.

My son hasn't started growing yet and the pack fits him perfectly. We went on a backpacking trip the weekend after the pack arrived and he loved how well it worked out for him.

You are DA MAN. We sure appreciate this. I have been buying "thrifty" backpacks when I could find them but they are often not as advertised or need more repair than the thing was worth before I paid an inflated shipping charge.

Anyway, this will make a huge difference in our program. Our scouts are all from families that can not really afford good equipment (let alone new equipment), so this is a blessing.
